So I either slept through my alarm, didn't turn it on, or turned it off and went back to sleep. Either way, I missed my ride to practice, and my parents couldn't take me. So what did I do? I ran to Liberty. It actually wasn't as far as I thought, 1.75 miles. And it was downhill, so it wasn't that bad. When I got there, everyone was stretching, so I stretched with them. Then we ran to the start line and did a mile tempo followed by an 800. On the mile I was supposed to hit 5:35-5:40. I didn't hit it, I got a 6:11. I felt like I was going fast though! When Abigail came up on me I lost it mentally and she had said "we're off" and that's not exactly the thing I wanted to hear. I slowed down a ton, then right at the end picked it up a bit. I felt horrible, all thoughts turned negative. Then we ran to the start again and I was cut off A TON at the beginning by multiple people, which slowed me down a ton and then had trouble speeding up, got a 3:06. So I stayed consistent at least. I don't know, trying to think of anything good that came out of it. My foot was giving me pain on all of the slow parts, so Bill took a look at it, and I just have to ice it and get new shoes. Glad to hear it's nothing too bad. I hope it will feel better soon :) On the cool down I ran with Bill the first lap then Abigail joined and I fell off of them, once again negative thoughts running through my head. I guess I was just frustrated that I have been working hard all summer, and now she's doing better than me again.
