Ran to the school, then we carpooled to Granite's track. I really don't like their track. The track itself is in great condition, better than our track, but it seems like it's always windy (granted today was a real windy day) and people take their dogs there and their kids riding tricycles and they always hang out in lane 1. The worst was when we all almost stepped on this tiny dog in lane 1 and it came running at us and the owner yelled at us that "oh it's okay, she's friendly." No, that's when you apologize and put your dog on a leash and keep it close to you. People. NONE of them were on leashes. And there were like 10 of them. And you'd think when we're running laps over and over again they'd try to keep their dogs out of the way but they could care less. On one of the recoveries I legit ran into one because three of them came in lanes 1 and 2 right as I was passing by. I've decided the dogs are just as clueless as their owners.

Okay now that I've ranted about that, let's get to the workout. 2 miles warmup, 1 mile speed changes. Then changed shoes and did a lap. We did 1000, 2 sets of (300, 500, 400 - each w/ 2 minutes recovery). 1200 between. I hit slow times on all of that. I just felt really off and mentally was doomed. Then we did 200s, the first couple were ehhh not awful but not good. Then Bill managed to snap me out of it a little, hit the rest in 32-34. I really need to flip this switch in my brain to where I have confidence that I will do well at State. I need to convince myself that. Agh.
