Wow, I have never done a run over 10 miles before. This is a first. Well, saturday I went to 17, but that was different. It was all split up. Today it was all together. I was not feeling good during the warmup. I thought today was gonna be a bad day. We did track stuff before, and some circuits, which were HORRIBLE!!!! I don't like circuits. I know they're supposed to help you, but before a long run is a little much. My hopes were not up for this run. I was considering doing less. I was considering lots of stuff. I could've done 40 minutes out and 40 minutes back like Bill was expecting. I was also considering going with the front group until I fell far back an then just turn around. But then I surprised myself. I actually kept up with them until just before the cottonwood complex. I then realized that now that we were here, I couldn't just turn around. We were now around the halfway point. So, It would be counterproductive if I turned around. perfect. So I ended up pushing the whole way. Joy. Well, turns out they had sped up a bit, and it was when I was waaay tired, so I hung back. I had mixed feelings when they stopped and waited for me. Now that I'm looking back on it, I'm grateful. But at the time, I wasn't fond of it. But, at about the 2nd or 3rd time they stopped for me, they all made me go to the front. That way, I "wasn't going anywhere" as Tomy put it. Hehe. People were behind me, so I couldn't slow down. Tomy would push/pull me along when I started to fall back. :) Thanks Tomy. I had yet another cramp, so we stopped at store after store looking for a bathroom. Man, the stores need to step it up on bathrooms. "sorry, its getting cleaned" and "its out of order man" and "we don't have one" are very annoying. But we found a nifty little place. You don't even have to go in the store to get to it. :) I wasn't too happy when we had to run up the hill though. I didn't like it. But I'm glad I got it over with!!! Maybe I won't be so backed up on miles on Saturday.....:)
