Oval today. Bad day for me. 5 1000s. I was feeling okay on the warm-up, and also on the first 1000. I bet it was because I liked the song that was playing (Say you like me by we the kings!!!! I love it!!!) and it kept me distracted. 2nd one was okay. I totally crashed on the other ones. I hated every second of them. I just wanted to go home. But i wanted to finish at the same time. I just really wanted to beat Abigail, and it wasn't happening. ug. I guess that's just how good she is. (Good Job Abs) hehe anyway i was not feeling it so I only did a mile cool down with Sarah while the others were doing who knows what. good job guys for being overachievers. haha :)

Okay, I know, lame: I got lost on the run. I was not feeling it today, and i was still worked up about yesterday and Abigail beating me. Good job Abigail!!! this is a good thing! Anyway, I wasn't as worked up as I was yesterday, but still pretty angry and sad. I went up 900 S. and immediately fell back from the group. I didn't see them turn, and so I kept going. I went up about 3/4 mile when I realized they weren't there. So I turned around to see if the slower group was still at East. of course not. I did 7 laps around the school just to make Bill happy(ish) Sorry, but your directions just confuse me Bill. Maybe I'll understand better when I drive.

Okay I'm sorry about yesterday. I lost all motivation to run. I have it back now though!!! :) To make up for it, I did 8 miles with the faster group instead of 6 with the slower. We went to sugarhouse, and did backwards of the cemetery run, and went over to 21st  and up to 19th, over to sunnyside, and back to the school. Or that was the plan. We were short. I fell back as I normally do, but I really tried to stick with them so I had no chance of getting lost. along 19th I was trying to catch up, but it seemed like they were speeding up, but I was probably getting tired. Then when I got to sunnyside, I literally sprinted to the group. I caught up to them at a stoplight. I was worn out and was thinking just back to the school and I'll be done but no, we had to be short. :( So we went along the street shriners is on I can't think of the name right now to the next street and back to East the tennis courts way.

Today was the distance challenge thing at the oval. 3 mile warm up. Then I did the mile. I broke 6!!! Yay!!! I started towards the back, and then with each lap I got closer to the front. On the last lap I heard Bill yell race and I realized I could give more so I went as fast as I could. I was racing the lead girl for first. Then I slowed down. I got way tired and started to thing negative thoughts, and they won. I need to work on that. THe girl behind me outkicked me at the last minute, and it took me by surprise, and then I was so angry with her and mad at myself for thinking negative thoughts, but I think i did an okay job of covering that all up. I then realized that I broke 6... my goal!!!! yay!!! And I got 3rd. (in my heat at least) Then I did 2 miles on the inside part. I stretched and whatever, then did 1/2 mile with Patrick. Then I did a few drills with him because I was bored and had nothing else to do, and he needed to because his race was gonna start soon. Stretched some more. Then I did 1/2 mile with Sarah and Bill, when Sarah and I were both almost late for the 800. I went in the faster group. I ended up with a 2:46. Pretty good race. then I did a 3/4 mile cool down.

SO, we did the normal drills with track people. Then we did the flagpole to flagpole run. I went with Bill and Natalie and Chris and finished with the Shriners run part. We did a funky lap in the parking lot and field area. It was 6. I was able to keep up for most of it. 6 miles

So today was the 5k at Saltaire. It was waaay cold. I broke 22!!! Yay! anyway, we did the whole course as a warm up. I fell back a little on it. I put my flats on, and then ran over to the starting line, but they started before I got there. Great start. Anyway, it felt good to pass tons of people. I was like i need to get up front so I just kept going faster and faster. I wasn't hurting like I should and I said if ur not hurting somethings wrong so I went faster. at the turn around point I realized I was only a little bit behind Abigail and wanted to catch up. My legs got super tired. On the last stretch I out-kicked some guy. It was great. I did about a mile cool down with Sarah. Then Bill was like go to 45 so i did another cool down. the course again-3 miles. I'm tired. I get to massage my legs - joy.
