I’m feeling some minor off and on pain in the same area my stress reaction was located. Can’t tell if it’s stress reaction pain or if my sartorious muscle is tight again. No pain while doing the fulcrum test with my foam roller though so that’s a positive sign. Unfortunately, I work during the training room open hours but can go in on Thursday. To be safe I’ll be taking another week off of running.

I can feel myself getting impatient with how slow my recovery is coming. It’s very frustrating when all I want to do is go out for a run. But I do recognize the need to be cautious and come back slow. There’s nothing I can do about it.

Biked for an hour.

Couldn’t get hold of a bike and the training room was locked. I’m hoping I can fit my bike in my car this weekend and bring it to Cedar so I’ll always have access to one. Still waiting on Paul for a pool pass too, but it’s all good. He’s been busy with getting the team ready for conference and regionals.

Ended up just doing a bunch of core for an hour. Circuits, push-ups, pull-ups, front lunges, crunches, planks, alternating V-ups, glute bridges, calf raises, dead bugs, bicycle, Russian twists, and so on.

Went to the training room today, the other Nate did the fulcrum test with his fist and I did feel some pain. Not as bad as 6 weeks ago but it’s still there. So the plan is to take another week off of running and check back in next Thursday. Nate’s going to get me a pool pass (hooray!) and I will start up aqua jogging again next week. But this time Nate wants me to actually touch the bottom of the pool with the water at chest height, so that I’m still getting some force of impact but easing back into it. I’m actually kind of stoked to try it.

Biked for just under an hour up Emigration canyon in Salt Lake. 37 minutes up, 20 back. 13.25 miles
