We ran to legacy bridge then to JCC. I started out with that front group, but I wasn't feeling good at all. I dropped off of them, then after I crossed legacy bridge I didn't know how to get to JCC so I waited for the others to catch up. We got to JCC and did about a mile, and then we turned around. We stopped to get a drink of water, then lost all the boys so Sarah and I took a different way, but ended up in the hospital. The nurses gave us wierd looks. Yeah, we booked it to the nearest exit. :)

Then we just took kind of the same way back.

Speed today. You know, I really like long runs...

I did mile warmup .75 speed changes (they started without me). Then we did 2 200s, a 400, 1600, 800, then 4 400s. By the 1600 I was crashing.

I did 3 grass laps cool down.

We ran to fairmont and then we did 10 strides. After that we ran to Liberty where we got a drink and then Bill told me to start heading back the long way around. So I was alone all the way around Liberty, then they caught when I was at the light. Up the hill I was crashing. I need to work on running up big hills.

I was a little worried about my knee, but Bill said it's most likely IT band.

I ran 2.5 with Olivia. Going up and down the same street gets really boring.

PM:

We did a mile warmup, mile speed changes, then Bill told us to do 400s until we could hit our times. So naturally, I thought "okay, go a little faster so that you make sure you hit it under." I had thought being too fast was gonna count. Nope. Pretty much everyone did that one too fast, then Bill said it didn't count. We had to hit 2 of them within 1 second of the time he gave us. I was supposed to hit 79s. I made sure I hit the next 2 because I really didn't want to do extra.

My times went 76, 80, 80.

Then we did cool down to get to 4.

Race: Pre-footlocker Race (3.2 Miles) 00:21:48, Place overall: 48

AM:

Today was the Pre-Footlocker race. I did 1.25 miles warmup including strides.

I got out too fast. I guess I was just in the mode for speed. I was in 2nd, then I crashed. Let's just say it didn't feel great. There was a lot of people who passed me that 2nd mile, and also the third mile, but not quite as many as the 2nd. It was so cold, and trying to make a move just seemed 10 times harder. It was probably just my mind getting to me. I threw in a couple speed changes whenever I felt good, but I had a hard time keeping that speed. I need to work on that. I did better than I thought. With all those people passing me, I guess I just assumed I was going slow. This course was over measured. I looked at my watch afterward, and the 3 mile mark was 20:52. It's still not as fast as settlement canyon, but it's better than pretty much all of my races in XC this season.

Then I did .5 cool down. I probably should've done more. I don't remember what place I was, but I'm pretty sure it was around 48th.

PM:

I ran 2.75 miles
